God's Great Dinner In The Sky
    lyric by Bob Miller

In the twinkling of an eye,  when the trumpet plays its last,
All the dead shall stand again,  and we'll join them in the cast.
For the play will soon commence,  as the curtain starts to rise,
And the saints will join in, for God's great dinner in the skies.

It was well before the rain, when God let his thoughts be heard,
Though he gave men every chance, they just wouldn't listen to his Word.
No-ah was a righteous man, who was perfect in his day,
And God said "Go build an ark before I wash them all away."

In the twinkling of an eye,  when the trumpet plays its last,
All the dead shall stand again,  and we'll join them in the cast.
For the play will soon commence,  as the curtain starts to rise,
And the saints will join in, for God's great dinner in the skies.

We've all heard of righteous Lot, who lived and worked at Sodom's gate,
But as months and days had passed, he knew he'd made a big mistake.
Though the city was a gem, and lit the sky up every night,
Under-neath it all were sinners who were blinded to the light.

In the twinkling of an eye,  when the trumpet plays its last,
All the dead shall stand again,  and we'll join them in the cast.
For the play will soon commence,  as the curtain starts to rise,
And the saints will join in, for God's great dinner in the skies.

Now we're on the edge of heaven, mankind rules all he sees,
We're so-phisticated people, hardly ever on our knees.
We put God upon the bookshelf, so he won't be in our way,
And we do just what we want to everyday.

Though the world has grown smarter, all their wisdom's up and died,
Love of money has them dazzled, their possessions are their pride.
Judgment's coming like a rocket, still there's time for us to pray,
Our God never leaves the righteous in the way.

In the twinkling of an eye,  when the trumpet plays its last,
All the dead shall stand again,  and we'll join them in the cast.
For the play will soon commence,  as the curtain starts to rise,
And the saints will join in, for God's great dinner in the skies.
